The Employee shall serve as a Project Engineer, specializing in static equipment, boilers, desalination systems, and tanks within power plant environments. The Employee is expected to leverage expertise in project management and engineering design to contribute to successful project outcomes, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The Employee will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions in complex environments.
- Report directly to the Project Manager, providing regular updates on project status, challenges, and milestones.
- Update daily progress with the Planning Engineer and ensure execution follows the schedule.
- Follow company and client procedures; reports shall be prepared and submitted according to project requirements.
- Assign tasks to supervisors and follow up on progress daily.
- Ensure compliance with company and client HSE and QC requirements.
- Coordinate with the company HSE and QA/QC team to ensure work is executed according to requirements.
- Ensure proper utilization of allocated resources, such as manpower and tools/equipment.
- Maintain and update tools, equipment, and consumables inventory, submitting it monthly to the MGE Senior Service Engineer.
- Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Oversee the design and specification of static equipment, boilers, desalination systems, and tanks.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the execution team.
- Coordinate with clients and the execution team to address project requirements and compliance.
- Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct inspections and audits to validate project deliverables.
- Identify potential issues and develop effective solutions to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
- Facilitate troubleshooting and resolution of technical challenges during project execution.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports and progress updates.
- Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within project operations.
- Mentor project staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. (MOFA Attested)
- 7-10 years of experience in power plant operations.
- Excellent communication skills and proven leadership abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office and skilled in documentation.
- In-depth knowledge of static equipment, boilers, desalination systems, and tanks.
