The Design Engineer specializing in Geotechnical and Coastal Engineering plays a crucial role in the development and execution of projects within the manufacturing and civil engineering sector. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and innovative problem-solving skills to address complex engineering challenges. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and analyzing geotechnical and coastal structures, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations while optimizing project efficiency.

Responsibilities:

1- Understand the Company business plan and philosophy.

2- To develop and enhance technical capabilities of the company.

3- Development of our Geo-synthetic and Composite Systems by discovering

and establishing new specifications and identifying potential applications/

projects.

4- Evaluation of major geo-synthetics composite materials specified as

international civil engineering standards.

5- Evaluate / Appraise technical specification of composite materials

produced by manufacturers worldwide.

6- To execute relevant engineering calculations for the use of geosynthetic and

composite materials and specific project requirements.

7- Investigate subsurface conditions and materials, stability of natural slopes and man-made soil deposits; assess risks posed by

site conditions; design earthworks and coastal works; and monitor site

conditions.

8- Determines and designs the type of foundations, embankments, revetments

and earthworks required for the intended man-made structures to be built.

9- Create Engineering drawings/illustrations and other technical papers for

for the project submittals.

Skills

• Minimum of Master’s degree in Geotechnical and /or Coastal Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience in engineering design and analysis, particularly within infrastructure and marine projects.
• Skilled in geotechnical software tools such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio etc.
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and geotechnical or coastal investigation techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; effective team collaboration; strong communication and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with local regulations and codes pertaining to civil engineering practices.
