What You Will Be Doing

  • Analyze transaction trends in customer accounts to identify potentially suspicious transactions from a financial crimes viewpoint and take appropriate actions.
  • Ensure quality, timeliness, and accuracy in reviewing customer transactions.
  • Efficiently identify and perform due diligence on red flags.
  • Obtain documentary proof of suspicious findings and maintain effective record-keeping of identified and reported suspicious transactions.
  • Prepare and clear Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and raise them in the CB-UAE portal.
  • Periodically review high-risk clients for potential suspicious activity.
  • Maintain a current understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing issues, including policies, procedures, regulations, industry best practices, criminal typologies, and developing trends.
  • Assist in identifying systemic control weaknesses related to the AML Unit.
  • Execute tasks and instructions from supervisors in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Knowledge of key UAE regulations from CBUAE and SCA, as well as an understanding of operational risk.


What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an AML compliance role.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel).
  • Understanding of marketplace AML issues, typologies, and AML suspicious activity transactions.
  • Understanding of banking, payment systems, KYC requirements, and CB-UAE regulations on AML.
