Medical Secretary (Emirati Talent )


JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing administrative and support duties, it may function as a liaison between department within and outside the Function.



PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produces correspondence, manuscripts, notes, summaries, meeting minutes and other material from a variety of sources
  • Develops and maintains departmental files, documents, data files and confidential information
  • Answers incoming telephone calls and refers to appropriate personnel for proper handling
  • Gathers and summarizes data for projects, studies and reports
  • Coordinates special functions and/or programs as assigned, including special studies, surveys, publications, etc.
  • Serves as a liaison between departments and others within and/or external to Medical and CCAD
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Adheres to CCAD’s standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies


In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within CCAD, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Typical physical demands include: a high degree of manual dexterity to sufficiently perform computer functions on a keyboard, produce materials on a PC and operate basic office equipment, normal or corrected vision and hearing, extensive sitting, mobility sufficient to visit with departments or employees throughout CCAD and lift up to 30 lbs.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS




Education

  • High school diploma, or equivalent, is required.

PREFERRED

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience

Minimum of one (1) years secretarial experience in a medical, commercial or industrial environment is required

Job Specific Skills and Abilities

Must be well organized and keep meticulous records.

  • Knowledge of office procedures, protocols, organization and filing systems and a variety of PC and/or word processing systems
  • Demonstrated typing proficiency of at least 35 words-per-minute with accuracy
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to coordinate multiple activities
  • Ability to create and express new and innovative ideas to help build efficiency and effectiveness within Finance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to speak and write in Arabic is preferred
