- Identify, target, and engage with prospective clients across industries such as manufacturing, retail, FMCG, and e-commerce.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets by creating tailored freight forwarding solutions and proposals that meet clients' specific needs.
- Conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and close agreements with both local and international clients.
Branch Operations and Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the branch, ensuring efficient coordination of logistics, freight management, and documentation processes.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring that all shipments and logistics services are managed smoothly.
- Manage financial aspects of the branch, including budgeting, cost management, and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a primary point of contact for inquiries, support, and problem resolution.
- Conduct regular follow-ups and reviews with clients to assess satisfaction and identify potential areas for service improvement.
- Provide value-added services by offering insights, recommendations, and tailored solutions to meet client logistics needs.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the branch sales and operations team, setting clear performance expectations and goals.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills in sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment to promote high morale and productivity.
Market Intelligence and Strategy
- Stay updated on market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments in Bangladesh to adapt business strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to leverage resources, share insights, and align on strategic objectives.
- Use data analytics to monitor and optimize branch performance, identifying new revenue opportunities and areas for improvement.
Skills
Experience working in Bangladesh’s logistics or freight forwarding sector.
Strong understanding of customs regulations and compliance for import/export in Bangladesh.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of key industries in Bangladesh, such as garments, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture.
