Maintenance Engineer - Oil and Gas

Location: UAE

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems for oil and gas production facilities.
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all machinery, equipment, and assets in the plant.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment including pumps, compressors, valves, and engines.
• Monitor equipment performance, identifying potential failures and recommending improvements or repairs.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Prepare and update maintenance procedures and manuals for machinery and equipment.
• Collaborate with operations and technical teams to minimize downtime and improve plant reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement to ensure all required materials are available for maintenance tasks.
• Document and report all maintenance activities, failures, and improvements to management.

Skills

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Good understanding of safety, environmental, and quality standards in the oil and gas industry.
• Ability to work in harsh and challenging environments.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
