Job Title: Junior Accountant

Salary: AED5,000.00, Company Visa, Medical Insurance, Flight Allowance

Location: 112 European Business Center, DIP 1, Dubai, UAE

Job Type: Full Time

Office Hours: Monday – Saturday, 9-6

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring proper documentation and approvals are obtained.
  2. Follow up with clients for payment on a daily basis, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor in all communications.
  3. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  4. Ensure accurate and timely responses to requests from internal teams, providing necessary financial information and support.
  5. Reconcile sales and receipts with QuickBooks transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  6. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports.
  7. Support senior accountant in preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets, providing necessary assistance and data analysis.
  8. Assist with audits by providing documentation and support as needed, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
  9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper recording and reporting of financial transactions, providing guidance and support as needed.
  10. Stay up-to-date on accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends through ongoing training and professional development activities.
  11. Perform other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success of the finance team and the company.


Skills

Qualifications:

 

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  2. Proven experience or internship in accounting or finance role preferred.
  3. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks or other accounting software.
  5. Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  7. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic work environment, with a proactive and positive attitude.
  9. Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
