Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain 3D models for MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and ELV) using software like Revit or AutoCAD MEP.
- Perform clash detection using tools like Navisworks to identify and resolve conflicts between systems.
- Coordinate with structural and architectural teams to ensure all systems fit seamlessly into the building design.
- Prepare detailed shop drawings, installation plans, and fabrication documents from BIM models.
- Ensure models comply with local regulations, project standards, and client requirements.
- Update BIM models during design and construction, including changes and as-built data.
- Extract material quantities and data from BIM models for procurement and scheduling.
- Attend coordination meetings to review progress and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate and accessible BIM data for all project stakeholders.
- Create and manage BIM family libraries, templates, and workflows.
- Generate reports on model updates, clash detection, and project status.
Skills
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP for modeling and coordination.
- Experience with Navisworks for clash detection and BIM model integration.
- 5+ years of experience in MEP design and modeling, with a strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, and ELV systems.
- Familiarity with Dynamo, BIM 360, or Tekla is a plus.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and ensure coordination across disciplines.
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of building codes and industry standards.
