We are seeking a skilled IT Security and Compliance Specialist to join our team and play a key role in safeguarding our organization's IT infrastructure and ensuring compliance with global standards and regulations. Responsibilities include, but not limited, to:
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and cyber threats.
- Design, implement, and monitor backup and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard organizational data.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and incident resolutions.
- Work closely with other IT professionals, departments, and vendors to ensure seamless operations and project success.
- Ensure IT systems align with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR) and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, COBIT), and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential challenges and implementing innovative solutions to meet the organization’s dynamic needs.
Skills
- Good understanding of GDPR and cyber security framework like NIST, ISO 27001 is mandatory
- An understanding of Windows security best practices, including user access control, malware protection, and security patch management.
- Experience in managing disaster\recovery plan.
- Experience in using monitoring tools to ensure system performance and availability.
- Demonstrated ability to draft and implement manuals and procedures.
- Strong oral and written English essential. Italian, Spanish, French an advantage
- Team player with ability to work within culturally diverse environments and with minimum supervision
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications and experience can substitute for formal education.
- Certifications that provide a competitive edge:
- ISO27001, NIST, GDPR
- ITIL (for IT service management best practices)
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE)
- Cisco: CCNA (for networking knowledge)
Preferred Technical Skills (Not Mandatory):
- Previous experience as System Administrator
- Understanding of various Windows Server versions, including Windows Server 2016, 2019, and newer releases, is essential. Linux knowledge considered an advantage
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and firewall concepts.
- Experience in managing Active Directory services, including domain controllers, group policies, DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V
- Proficiency in writing PowerShell scripts for automation, system administration tasks, and reporting
- Familiarity with integrating on-premises Windows systems with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure.
