JD: Senior Executive – Tax
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Executive – Tax to join our dynamic tax team. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) . As Senior Executive- Tax, you will play a key role in overseeing tax functions, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic tax advice to our organization
Key Responsibilities:
- Corporate Tax Compliance and Planning:
- Oversee the preparation, review, and filing of corporate tax returns for various entities across GCC jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and filing deadlines.
- Identify and mitigate potential tax risks, advising senior management on strategic tax planning opportunities.
- Transfer Pricing:
- Lead transfer pricing compliance, documentation, and implementation for the company's operations in GCC and beyond.
- Prepare transfer pricing reports and ensure compliance with OECD guidelines and local regulations.
- Work closely with internal teams to develop transfer pricing policies and procedures.
- Direct and Indirect Tax:
- Manage and oversee the indirect tax (VAT/GST) compliance, including preparation and submission of VAT returns for GCC entities.
- Assist in managing direct tax matters, including corporate income tax, withholding tax, and tax treaties.
- Liaise with tax authorities in GCC countries to resolve tax-related queries and disputes.
- Advisory & Strategic Input:
- Provide tax advisory services to internal business stakeholders on day-to-day operations, mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and other strategic decisions.
- Evaluate tax implications for business expansion and assist with structuring new projects or initiatives.
- Audit Support:
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders during tax audits and investigations.
- Assist in preparing responses to tax queries and dispute resolution, where necessary.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain proper tax documentation and ensure it aligns with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare periodic tax reports for senior management on key tax-related matters, issues, and opportunities.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on tax laws, policies, and procedures across GCC countries and globally.
- Implement best practices in tax compliance, reporting, and risk management.
Experience:
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing, Direct & Indirect Tax.
- In-depth knowledge of GCC tax systems, including VAT, Income Tax, Withholding Tax, Transfer Pricing, and other local taxation laws.
- Hands-on experience in managing tax compliance, transfer pricing documentation, and tax advisory roles in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of OECD guidelines on Transfer Pricing and international tax regulations.
- Expertise in tax compliance software and tools used in tax filings.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (for financial modeling and analysis).
