Position Title: Radiation Therapist (Radiotherapy Technologist)

Job Summary
The Radiation Therapist (Radiotherapy Technologist) will be responsible for delivering safe, accurate,
and compassionate radiation therapy to oncology patients using advanced technologies. The role
demands a professional with at least 6 years of experience in a tertiary oncology hospital who can
work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed radiation treatments with precision, ensuring alignment of equipment and patients according to the treatment plan.
- Operate advanced radiotherapy equipment, including linear accelerators, IGRT, IMRT, and VMAT systems.
- Collaborate with oncologists, medical physicists, and dosimetrists to review and verify treatment plans and ensure accuracy.
- Conduct daily quality assurance checks on radiotherapy equipment to maintain accuracy and functionality.
- Provide compassionate care and clear instructions to patients, addressing their concerns and supporting them throughout their treatment journey.
- Monitor patients during treatments, identifying and reporting any adverse reactions or complications to the medical team.
- Maintain accurate records of all treatments and procedures in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Adhere to international safety protocols and standards to protect patients, staff, and self from radiation exposure.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated with advancements in radiotherapy techniques and technologies.
- Assist in departmental audits, research projects, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Qualifications Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, or an equivalent qualification.
Licensure/Certification:
- Valid license to practice as a Radiation Therapist (e.g., HAAD, DHA, or equivalent).
- Additional certification in advanced radiotherapy techniques is advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years in a tertiary oncology hospital, with experience in using modern radiotherapy techniques.
