Job Summary
The Business Development Advisor plays a crucial role in driving the growth and success of our start-up freight forwarding company in UAE. This dynamic role requires a proactive and results-oriented individual with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. The Advisor will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the freight forwarding market.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Sales:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, cold calling, and industry events.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, including shippers, exporters, importers, and logistics providers.
- Conduct needs assessments and develop customized solutions to meet client requirements.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions in CRM systems.
- Market Analysis & Research:
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas.
- Analyze market data to identify target markets and develop effective sales strategies.
- Stay informed about industry regulations, best practices, and technological advancements.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer retention and loyalty.
- Proactively identify and address client concerns and issues.
- Provide excellent customer service and support throughout the entire customer lifecycle.
- Teamwork & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Share market intelligence and best practices with the team.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of sales strategies and initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in sales and business development.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving business growth objectives.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, logistics operations, and freight forwarding processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Languages: English and Arabic fluency is required.
