Job Description


Roles & Responsibilities -


  • Safely operate heavy vehicles and equipment, ensuring compliance with all traffic and safety regulations in Dubai.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition and report any issues immediately.
  • Transport goods and materials to designated locations within tight timelines while maintaining the highest standards of safety.
  • Maintained accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption, ensuring all documentation was up-to-date and submitted on time.
  • Collaborate with dispatchers and logistics teams to optimize routes and schedules for efficient delivery operations.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures while demonstrating professionalism in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
  • Assist in loading and unloading cargo, ensuring items are secured and protected during transit to prevent damage.
  • Stay updated with local traffic laws and regulations, adapting to any changes to ensure compliance at all times.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance driving skills and knowledge of best practices in heavy vehicle operation.

Skills

Desired Candidate Profile -


  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy vehicle operation is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience driving heavy vehicles in urban environments, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
  • Valid UAE heavy vehicle driving license with no major traffic violations in the past 3 years.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure to meet tight delivery schedules.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage for communication.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols, with the ability to perform basic repairs if needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude to foster positive relationships with clients.
  • Physically fit to handle the demands of loading and unloading heavy items and long hours of driving.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing reliability and accountability.
  • Culturally aware and adaptable, with a willingness to embrace the diverse working environment of Dubai.
