Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Cutter to join our team. The Master Cutter will be responsible for interpreting designs, drafting patterns, and cutting fabric with precision to ensure high-quality garment production. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, proficiency in fabric handling, and a deep understanding of garment construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation of the samples , according to the sketches of the designer.
- Realization of samples considering production technical constraints ( cut , finishing , technical and upgrading solutions )
- Pattern cutting , Draping , Adaptation and transformation of clothing .
- Research of technical solutions according to designs and fabrics.
- Motivate and supervise the cutter and the tailors of the daily production such as sewing, and cutting. Keep a close eye on daily production to ensure it aligns with the designs.
- Operate cutting equipment and tools efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a high standard of quality control in the cutting process.
- Ensure that all garments meet specified quality standards, including stitching, fit, finishing, and overall appearance.
- Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently (Team Leader)
- A keen eye for details, Identify and promptly address any quality issues, providing feedback to production teams for correction.
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
- Liaise between fashion designer and the rest of the team. Help to manage output, workflow, and office deadlines.
- Expected to work longer hours when needed.
- Assist in preparation of the Catalogues by providing correct data of the dresses
