Sales Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction: Engage with existing and potential customers to promote and sell products.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain thorough knowledge of the products being sold, including specifications, pricing, and promotions.
  • Order Taking: Receive and process customer orders, ensuring the correct quantities are provided.
  • Target Achievement: Work towards achieving sales targets and KPIs set by the company.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Product Demonstrations: Display and demonstrate the products to customers when necessary, explaining the features and benefits.
  • Sales Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and market trends to the sales manager or supervisor.

2. Driving and Van Management Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Operation: Safely drive and operate the sales van, ensuring timely delivery of goods to customers.
  • Inventory Management: Load and unload products into the van in an organized manner, ensuring safe transport and proper inventory tracking.
  • Route Planning: Plan efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel consumption.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained, clean, and operational. Perform basic checks such as fuel levels, tire pressure, and oil levels.
  • Delivery Confirmation: Ensure customers receive the correct products and obtain proper acknowledgment or signatures upon delivery.
  • Stock Check and Replenishment: Regularly check inventory levels in the van and restock as needed from the warehouse.

3. Administrative and Reporting Tasks:

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales, deliveries, and inventory movements.
  • Cash Handling: Collect payments from customers (if applicable) and issue receipts, ensuring proper documentation for financial transactions.
  • Daily Reporting: Submit daily activity reports, including sales, payments, and any issues faced during the day.

 

4. Customer Service:

  • Problem Resolution: Address any customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Product Returns/Exchanges: Handle returns or exchanges of products as per company policies.
  • Promotions and Offers: Communicate ongoing promotions or discounts to customers.

5. Safety Compliance:

  • Follow all traffic rules and regulations while driving.
  • Ensure the safe and proper handling of products to prevent damage during transport.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.

  • Good knowledge of the products or services being sold, including their features, specifications, and applications.
  • Solid knowledge of products/services, encompassing features, specifications, and applications.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
