We are seeking an experienced Outside Sales Engineer to promote and sell our valve products to new and existing customers in various industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of success in sales.
- Must possess technical knowledge and experience with different types of valves & actuators (such as BUTTERFLY, BALL valves, & etc.,)
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities - Develop and execute a sales strategy to expand our customer base and increase revenue.
- Build and maintain customer relationships - Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing solutions.
- Conduct technical sales presentations - Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to customers, highlighting the features and benefits of our valve products.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting - Assist customers with technical issues, providing solutions and recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal teams - closely with our internal sales, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity - Continuously update knowledge of industry developments, competitor activity, and market trends.
- Meet and exceed sales targets - Achieve and exceed sales revenue targets, expanding our market share and presence.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field)
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales engineering, preferably in the valve industry
- Strong technical knowledge of valves, actuators, and control systems
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven sales track record, with a strong ability to identify and pursue new sales opportunities
- Ability to travel (up to 50% of the time) to customer sites, conferences, and industry events
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide creative solutions
