Key Responsibility
• Design, install, and commission electrical systems and equipment specific to pharmaceutical manufacturing, including HVAC systems, cleanroom lighting, and power distribution systems.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to guarantee optimal functionality and longevity of electrical equipment.
• Develop and implement electrical safety protocols to mitigate risks and ensure workplace safety.
• Oversee the maintenance and calibration of specialized equipment such as autoclaves, sterilizers, and other pharmaceutical-grade machinery.
• Ensure compliance with UAE energy and safety standards as well as international standards such as IEC, IEEE, and NFPA.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical systems and equipment issues efficiently to minimize operational disruptions in production lines.
• Collaborate with project teams during the construction phase to integrate electrical systems seamlessly within GMP-compliant environments.
• Prepare technical specifications and tender documents for procurement of electrical equipment.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including electrical schematics, maintenance logs, and operational manuals tailored to pharmaceutical systems.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery and quality of electrical components and services.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and technicians on electrical system operations and safety, particularly in pharmaceutical contexts.
• Actively participate in audits and inspections, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Drive the adoption of innovative technologies and automation in electrical systems to enhance operational efficiency.
• Monitor and optimize energy consumption in critical pharmaceutical systems such as temperature-controlled storage and process
equipment.
• Support validation protocols for equipment and systems to meet GMP and regulatory requirements.
Skills
Must Have
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in electrical engineering within the pharmaceutical, FMCG, or industrial manufacturing sectors, with exposure to greenfield projects preferred.
• Expertise in electrical design, maintenance, and energy optimization, especially for pharmaceutical systems.
• Proficiency in UAE electrical codes and global standards.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Familiarity with automation systems, PLCs, SCADA, and pharmaceutical equipment requirements.
• Proficiency in electrical design and analysis software.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
