Head of Business Development develop and maintain relationships with customers/multi-national companies for the purpose of creating synergies and new opportunities. HBD creates new business objectives and market demands by leading new product developments, new business partnerships and supporting with the overall strategy of the company. In addition, HBD will lead the research department to identify market trends and to guide associated departments accordingly to prepare business cases and feasibility studies. Core Responsibilities: • Research and identify new business opportunities locally and overseas including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets. • Developing growth strategies and plans for new customers whilst managing and retaining relationships with existing clients. • Understand the needs of customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan on how to meet those needs. • Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to communicate to internal and external parties. • Contact potential customers, build rapport, and arrange meetings to pitch sales. Providing specialist advice on the products and/or services you are selling. • Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business. • Examine risks and potentials for the business opportunities. Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements. • keep abreast of trends and changes in the related business world. Conduct research based on organizations & individuals to find new opportunities. • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines. Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc. • Attend relevant trade fairs to promote the company. • Review the website, brochures & other promotional materials and advise marketing department on improvements based on current market needs. Discuss promotional strategies and activities with the marketing department from time to time. • Lead new product developments with associated internal departments and create necessary market analysis, studies and reports. • Support and push internal business strategies, implement required action and milestone planning in accordance with approved strategy. • Understand P&L and costing in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements: Background & Experience (years) • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field. • Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in Sales/Marketing/Business Development role. • Valid UAE driving license. • Manufacturing and modular/prefab experience required. 3D/BIM knowledge and understanding of product development processes. • Cost analysis of new products and manufacturing processes. • Feasibility studies experience including creating business cases with investment requirements • Experience in writing business plans and company strategies. Competencies and Skills • Good command of the English language. • Ability to build rapport and get along with people from different cultural backgrounds. • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance. • Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets. • Good time management and planning skills • An excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associates. • Ability to motivate self and set own goals and targets. • Ability to think strategically. • Flexible approach to work and ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. • Exceptional interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients. • P&L and financial analysis strong • High level product development knowledge • International markets and business understanding
