Core responsibilities

  • Interpret technical drawings: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to understand project requirements. 
  • Shape and cut materials: Use machinery such as shears, brakes, saws, and presses to cut, bend, and shape metal or other materials. 
  • Assemble and join components: Weld, rivet, or otherwise join parts together to form finished products. 
  • Perform quality control: Conduct inspections to ensure products meet safety and quality specifications, making any necessary repairs.

  • Tool and equipment operation: Proficiently operate a variety of hand and power tools, including welding equipment (MIG, TIG, ARC) and machinery like drill presses, grinders, and shears.
