We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team at Spring of Art – Gifts & Stationery located on Corniche Street in Kalba, Fujairah, UAE. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about customer service and retail management. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the customer experience, ensuring that our store operates smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, providing gift-wrapping services, and supporting basic store management tasks. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members will be essential in maintaining a positive shopping environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist customers in selecting and purchasing products, providing exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience.
  2. Perform gift-wrapping services to ensure that all purchases are beautifully presented, meeting customer expectations.
  3. Maintain store cleanliness and organization to create an inviting atmosphere for customers.
  4. Manage inventory by restocking shelves and ensuring that products are properly displayed and accessible.
  5. Handle cash register operations, including processing transactions, handling returns, and providing receipts.
  6. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve store performance.
  7. Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers, aiding them in making informed purchasing decisions.
  8. Assist in the implementation of promotional displays and marketing initiatives to attract customers.
  9. Address customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  10. Support the manager in daily store operations and participate in team meetings to discuss performance and strategies.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  2. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  3. Proactive and self-motivated, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred, showcasing familiarity with sales processes.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being able to work independently when required.
  6. Detail-oriented, ensuring that all gift-wrapping and product displays meet high standards of quality.
  7. Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays, to meet the demands of the retail environment.
  8. Basic knowledge of store management principles and practices is a plus.
  9. Positive attitude and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  10. Ability to handle cash and perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.
