We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving sales and business development efforts, focusing on delivering innovative solutions to our clients. You will be responsible for understanding client requirements, providing technical expertise, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position requires a strong background in engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successful sales in the material handling sector. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will collaborate closely with project managers to develop tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of our clients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction and building sector, leveraging industry contacts and market knowledge.
  2. Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and proposals to clients, showcasing our products and services.
  3. Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand client requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
  4. Collaborate with the engineering and project management teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions into client projects.
  5. Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, providing ongoing support and addressing any concerns promptly.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to effectively position our offerings in the market.
  7. Participate in trade shows, conferences, and networking events to represent the company and generate leads.
  8. Prepare detailed sales reports and forecasts to track performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
  9. Train and mentor junior sales staff, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance team performance.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience as a Sales Engineer or in a similar role within the material handling industry, with a strong sales track record.
  2. Excellent technical knowledge of material handling machines.
  3. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of addressing complex client needs effectively.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership qualities.
  6. Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads and opportunities.
  7. A degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
  8. Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and project oversight.
  9. A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and industry developments.
