We are seeking a skilled Procurement Engineer with expertise in civil materials to oversee the evaluation and inspection of material grades and quality during delivery to construction sites. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring that procured materials meet project specifications, industry standards, and company quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities:• Collaborate with project teams to identify material requirements based on project specifications.• Identify, evaluate, and determine material grade and quality of civil materials delivered by suppliers to ensure materials are received as per the purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of high-quality civil materials.• Inspect materials upon delivery to the site, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and industry regulations.• Perform detailed checks on material grades, certifications, and accompanying documentation.• Identify and document discrepancies or substandard materials, escalating issues for resolution.• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.• Conduct regular audits of supplier quality processes and facilities to ensure adherence to qualityexpectations
Qualifications and Skills:• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.• Experience: Proven experience in procurement, inspection, or quality control of civil materials in construction projects.
