Role Overview
-Civil Engineers in the Adu Dhabi are responsible for the supervision of construction projects, including buildings, infrastructure, roads, and utilities, ensuring compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and project timelines, coordination with client, manage labor team, suppliers at site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise construction activities on site
- Review and prepare drawings, specifications, and BOQs
- Ensure compliance with UAE authorities’ regulations (ADM, DMT, RTA, Civil Defense, etc.)
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors
- Monitor project progress, quality, cost, and schedules
- Conduct site inspections and ensure HSE compliance
- Resolve technical and site-related issues
- Prepare reports, method statements, and material submittals
Work Environment
- Mix of site-based, office work, remotely work;
- Remotely work more than 50% time at the first 3 months, full time work at site/office after projects commencement.
- Fast-paced, deadline-driven construction environment
Project undertaking type:
- Car sales center, Logistic warehouse (steel structural, G+4 liecense)
- Villa, residential building;
Skills
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 7–10+ years of UAE/GCC experience
- Familiarity with UAE building codes and standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Primavera/MS Project is a plus
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- English in spoken, writen is necessary;
- Experience with ADM/DMT/RTA approvals
- Knowledge of FIDIC contracts
- Valid UAE driving license
- Membership or eligibility for Society of Engineers – UAE (SOE)
- Abu Dhabi Municipality G+4 Certified
