Overview of the role:

The Parts Sales Representative is responsible for over-the-counter spare parts sales, supporting walk-in customers and internal stakeholders by identifying correct parts, preparing quotations, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. This role is critical in delivering excellent customer service, promoting genuine parts, and supporting smooth parts operations across multiple brands represented by the company.

 

What you will do:

  • Assist walk-in customers in identifying and purchasing the correct spare parts
  • Use electronic parts catalogues (EPC) to accurately identify part numbers
  • Advise customers on related and replacement parts, including the benefits of genuine parts
  • Prepare quotations, sales orders, sales returns, and warranty claims in line with SOPs
  • Apply customer discounts and special net pricing accurately and compliantly
  • Follow up on back-orders and proactively update customers on delivery timelines
  • Support field parts sales teams and service workshops with quotations and order processing
  • Contribute to effective parts department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction

What equips you for the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in any discipline (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in spare parts operations, preferably within automotive, heavy commercial vehicles, industrial products, or construction equipment
  • Experience with over-the-counter parts sales
  • Working knowledge of SAP and electronic parts catalogues (EPC) preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong relationship-building skills and customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
