Job Summary

We are looking for a High School Head(American Curriculum) for one of our prestigious and international client (School) in Al Ain, UAE  The ideal candidate must have proven UAE experience, in-depth knowledge of the American curriculum, and the ability to lead teaching staff while ensuring compliance with ADEK regulations. This role requires strategic leadership, high academic standards, and effective engagement with staff, students, parents, and school leadership.


Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
  • Lead and oversee the implementation of the American Curriculum (Common Core, NGSS, AERO as applicable)


  • Ensure high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment practices across all high school grades


  • Monitor curriculum planning, lesson delivery, and student academic progress


  • Promote academic excellence and student readiness for college and university pathways


School Operations & Management
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the high school division


  • Ensure full compliance with ADEK policies, inspections, and reporting requirements


  • Develop and implement academic calendars, timetables, and assessment schedules


  • Contribute to school improvement plans and strategic initiatives


Staff Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate high school teaching and academic staff


  • Conduct classroom observations and performance reviews


  • Support professional development and continuous instructional improvement


  • Foster a collaborative, professional, and high-performing school culture


Student Welfare & Discipline
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment


  • Oversee student behaviour management, attendance, and wellbeing


  • Address disciplinary matters in line with school policies and UAE regulations


  • Support guidance, counseling, and student leadership programs


Parent & Community Engagement
  • Build strong relationships with parents and guardians


  • Lead parent meetings, academic conferences, and school events


  • Act as the primary point of contact for high school academic matters


  • Represent the school professionally within the local and wider community


Reporting & Strategic Contribution
  • Prepare academic and operational reports for senior leadership


  • Analyze student performance data to drive continuous improvement


  • Support school accreditation processes and ADEK inspections



Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant subject


Master’s degree in Educational Leadership / Education (strongly preferred)


Minimum 5–8 years of UAE experience in an American curriculum school


Proven experience in a senior leadership role (High School Head, Vice Principal, Academic Coordinator, or similar)


Strong knowledge of ADEK standards and UAE education regulations


Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills


Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage)
