We are seeking a skilled Structure Engineer Designer to join our engineering team in Umm Al Quwain, UAE. • Collaborate with architects and other engineers to develop robust structural concepts and ensure design intent is met throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for steel, concrete, timber, and composite structures in accordance with local codes and international standards.
• Develop 3D models and BIM coordination (e.g., Revit) to support design, clash detection, and constructability reviews.
• Perform structural analysis and load calculations for axial, bending, shear, and dynamic effects; validate designs through code-compliant checks and safety considerations.
• Evaluate material performance, constructability, and cost implications to optimize embodied carbon, durability, and maintenance needs.
• Prepare design reports, technical memos, and design-change documentation; assist in the preparation of tender documents and technical proposals.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers during detailing, shop drawing review, and site inspections to ensure adherence to design intent.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality control requirements; identify and communicate risks and mitigation strategies.
• Stay abreast of industry standards, local regulations, and best practices; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a closely related field (minimum).
• 3+ years of relevant experience in structural design and analysis, preferably in the UAE or a similar market.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE) and BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Robot, AutoCAD).
• Strong knowledge of national and international codes and standards (e.g., UAE Building Codes, Eurocodes, ACI/ACI 318, AISC) with the ability to apply them to design calculations and drawings.
• Solid understanding of reinforcement detailing, concrete and steel design, and connection detailing for various construction systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to present technical information clearly to clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple assignments with tight deadlines.
• UAE residency status or eligibility to work in the UAE is required.
