The MEP BIM Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, managing, and delivering Building Information Modeling (BIM) for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across projects. The role ensures accurate BIM models, clash-free coordination, compliance with project standards, and effective collaboration between design, construction, and stakeholder teams.
- Develop, coordinate, and manage MEP BIM models (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting) in accordance with project requirements.
- Coordinate BIM activities among MEP disciplines and with architectural and structural teams.
- Conduct clash detection, resolution meetings, and maintain clash-free models using Navisworks or similar tools.
- Prepare and manage BIM execution plans (BEP), BIM standards, and workflows.
- Ensure models comply with LOD requirements, project specifications, and client standards.
- Review consultant and subcontractor BIM models for accuracy, coordination, and compliance.
- Generate coordinated shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built models.
- Support quantity take-offs, scheduling (4D), and cost integration (5D) when required.
- Maintain proper model version control, data management, and documentation.
- Coordinate with site teams to resolve construction issues using BIM.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and provide technical support to project stakeholders.
