PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:



The Joint Venture Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects of the company’s joint ventures. This role is vital in ensuring financial transparency, compliance, profitability, and strategic collaboration with joint venture partners. The Joint Venture Manager will provide leadership in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to optimize the success of joint ventures aligned with the company’s objectives.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:




  1. PROFITS



  • Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and forecasting for all joint ventures to ensure profitability targets are met Monitor capital expenditure, cost structures, and revenue allocations across joint ventures to drive value creation Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making by joint venture partners and senior leadership



  • PROCESS



  • Manage end-to-end joint venture financial processes including accounting, reporting, invoicing, and compliance Implement and maintain controls and governance frameworks specific to joint ventures to mitigate financial risks Continuously improving financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and data accuracy for joint venture management



  • PATRONS/CUSTOMERS



  • Serve as the key liaison between the company and joint venture partners on financial matters Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial reporting to all JV stakeholders Engage with auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with relevant financial standards and regulations



  • PEOPLE



  • Lead and develop the finance team supporting joint venture operations, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and collaboration Facilitate effective communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including joint venture partners, auditors, and advisory teams


QUALIFICATION:




  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred. Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and compliance related to joint ventures


EXPERIENCE:




  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in finance roles with exposure to joint ventures, partnerships, or project finance


SKILLS:




  • Strong Negotiation & Collaboration skills with an ability to establish trust, balance partner interests, resolve conflicts, and maintain mutually beneficial relationships. Clear understanding of JV objectives, market dynamics, partner goals, and capacity to formulate and communicate effective strategies Skilled in planning, executing, and controlling JV activities, milestones, budgets, and ensuring quality and compliance Proficiency in analyzing financials, monitoring performance, managing risks, and providing actionable insights
