Role SummaryThe Sr. Sales Engineer is an established Outside Sales professional responsible for supporting Carrier’s sales objectives through customer relationship management, business development, and promotion of HVAC equipment and spare parts. This role focuses on generating new business opportunities, supporting bid activities, and strengthening long-term customer partnerships to enhance outside sales performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish and develop professional relationships with prospective and existing customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
Support business development activities for prospects within defined customer segments in alignment with business strategy.
Identify and prospect bid opportunities; participate in the preparation of bid responses and commercial negotiations with potential customers.
Develop new customer leads and maintain a healthy sales pipeline for the business development team.
Identify target accounts and present opportunities to sales and business development stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to influence and convert sales opportunities.
Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to increase Carrier’s visibility and support market growth.
Qualifications & Experience3–5 years of experience in selling HVAC equipment and spare parts.
Proven background in outside sales and customer relationship management.
Minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience in a similar role.
University degree or equivalent qualification required.
Technical & Role-Specific SkillsStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and spare parts solutions.
Experience in bid management, proposal preparation, and negotiations.
Ability to understand customer technical requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
Practical knowledge of Carrier organization, programs, or systems is an advantage, with the ability to leverage them in daily work.
