We are currently looking for a Cost Manager to be based in the Dubai Office. 

The successful candidate will show high levels of technical capability, sound commercial knowledge and a good understanding of the key drivers of cost and value.  
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide cost and commercial services in the delivery of pre and post-contract projects
• Deliver post-contract duties including payment certification, cost reporting and contract administration
• Manage and update project budgets
• Take accurate commercial meeting minutes
• Work closely with clients, design teams and contractors to optimize solutions
• Use Cost X, Excel and other Microsoft Office programs to an advanced level
• Have experience of project procurement and differing routes available
• Have a track record in delivering high quality services from inception to completion
• Work pre-contract including undertaking detailed measurements, preparing cost estimates and cost plans, monitoring design development and input into value engineering at each design stage, preparing BOQs, reviewing and amending contractual provisions/negotiating contractual provisions with clients, handling tender query responses, managing the PQQ process with support and undertaking tender evaluations and recommendations
• Work post-contract including being strong in contract administration, comfortable with on-site walks with project teams, preparing payment recommendations, preparing monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts and weekly commercial dashboards, managing variations and assisting in closing out projects and claims/variations

Required Qualifications:

·       Degree in related subject (BSc Quantity Surveying) 

·       MRICS would be advantageous but not essential. 

·       Experience pre and post contract in project / programme delivery teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous professional consultancy experience.

  
  

• Professional Memberships are an advantage but not essential.

  
  

• Excellent written and verbal skills with a fluent proficiency in English.

  
  

• International safety qualification / recognition an advantage but not essential.
