How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?ALGH Jebel Ali is the central location managing the Worldwide Helium Balance (Supply - Demand) and controlling the Air Liquide Helium ISO Containers fleet used to transport refrigerated Helium between WW sources and customers.
Responsibilities of this facility include the inspection and repair of the containers, the regulatory maintenance as per DOT regulation, the surveillance of Helium parameters transmitted daily by telemetry system and Technical assistance to our customers or third party carriers during transit or utilization of the Container at destination. In line with this, the key missions of this role are:

Facility and Logistics Quality and Safety animation


  • Helps develop a culture that encourages SAFETY and safety related reporting: Near-miss incident, Behavioral safety visits, Anomaly hunting


  • Assessment and Improvement of Quality Management system


  • Maintain quality, safety and environmental systems; implement and audit to achieve compliance with ISO 9001


  • Implementation of Road Safety Procedure for Helium transport in accordance with AL Standards


  • Provide QHSE Support to Logistics for RCA


  • Review the  Site and Logistics Procedures Requirements to meet AL Standards and ISO 9001


  • Develop and report all site QHSE KPIs in coordination with AL Maritime QHSE Manager


  • Follow-up of action plans related to event reporting (BSV, Near Misses, Incident / Accident)


  • Animate monthly QHSE meeting to all employees


  • Ensure the proper safety induction for all visitors and contractors as well as new arrivals


  • Conduct Suppliers quality and safety audit as part of the internal auditors team


Continuous Improvement Management 


  • Identify and Implement projects that contribute to the success of the plant-wide adoption of continuous improvement methodologies


  • Create a sustainable continuous improvement culture across the organization


  • Develop CI methods in the workshop (5S, Kanban)


  • Lead regular improvement workshops. Coordinate with plant manager to identify areas for improvement, facilitate workshops, and involve everyone, improve systems, and effectively sustain the gains


  • Visually track results in the workshop and publicize results


  • Improve team problem solving. Involve everyone


Customer Quality Management


  • Collect and report customer claims  (internal or external) and ensure proper actions are in place and closed in time with relevant stakeholders


  • Communicate with Affiliate on actions plan, measure impact and close the claims


  • Develop and monitor Customer Claims Indicators

Knowledge on know-how specific to the Job


  • Industrial / Chemical Engineer (Master degree)


  • Relevant experience in Quality Management on an Industrial site


  • Should be familiar with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard, Health and Safety Management


  • Be comfortable developing the Company’s QHSE systems and encouraging a culture of safety 


  • Be knowledgeable with Dangerous Goods Regulations (ADR, IMDG for example)


  • Have excellent verbal and written English with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels within the Company


  • French speaking is a plus


  • Solid knowledge of continuous improvement tools, methodologies and practices (lean, 5S)


  • Familiar with database and generating Key Performance Indicators


  • Knowledge of root cause analysis

  • Be computer literate with Google environment to a proficient level with good typing skills


  • Time management/balancing multiple priorities


  • Self – motivated and able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
