The right control valve selection is based on an understanding of the industry, process and application it will be used in. Their role is to ensure accurate, repeatable and reliable long-lasting flow control performance. The Sales Support Engineer, Flow Control will be responsible for supporting sales, engineering, and project execution activities to ensure the successful delivery of flow control solutions. This role involves preparing technical and commercial proposals, managing key customer accounts, and overseeing pre‑qualification and post‑order documentation. The engineer will work closely with factory, project, and cross‑functional teams to uphold quality standards, meet delivery commitments, and resolve technical issues during execution. Additionally, the position contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, supports customer engagement activities, and ensures strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations. With extensive interaction across technical and commercial domains, this role offers opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic engineering environment in the oil and gas sector.

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Your responsibilities: 

• Drive growth of Valmet Flow Control products and services within the assigned market.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers to support sustainable business development.
• Prepare and manage technical and commercial proposals, including key account management, pre‑qualification, and post‑order documentation.
• Review enquiry documents and prepare accurate quotations by selecting appropriate products aligned with customer requirements and Valmet’s commercial policies.
• Manage all post‑quotation activities, including handling queries, revisions, and consistent follow‑ups.
• Verify received orders against proposals, identify discrepancies, and ensure smooth, error‑free order execution.
• Maintain accurate project and order information throughout the sales and execution cycle.
• Support factory and project teams in engineering activities, ensuring compliance with quality, technical standards, and timelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during order execution while contributing to continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Uphold Valmet’s ethical values and ensure full compliance with HSE, safety, and environmental guidelines, while supporting customer events and technical sessions when required.

Who you are: 

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering .
• Strong understanding of ASTM, ANSI, and API standards.
• Proven experience in offering solutions for control valves, ESD valves, and on–off valves.
• Basic knowledge of automation systems and process control.
• Solid understanding of oil and gas industry applications.
• Working knowledge of SMART positioners, pneumatic hookups, and top‑mounted automation.
• Experience in handling ADNOC is added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 –10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering documentation tools.
• Fluency in English.
