Work DescriptionPrimary Duties
- Assess and diagnose disorders of eye movement and coordination (e.g., strabismus, amblyopia)
- Perform orthoptic and visual function tests
- Develop and implement non-surgical treatment plans (e.g., vision therapy, exercises, patching)
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed
Secondary Process
- Work closely with Ophthalmologists in clinical settings
- Educate patients and families about eye conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Support pediatric and adult patients with various vision problems
Skills Required
- Degree in Orthoptics or relevant healthcare field
- Certification or license as required by local regulations
- Experience in clinical orthoptic practice is preferred
- Strong observational and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and patient-care abilities
- Ability to work with children and adults
