Role Summary: The Business Development / Specifications Manager will be the driving force behind securing our products in major regional projects. Your primary focus will be leveraging your existing network to get our products "specified" in project designs by the region's top MEP consultants, and securing "vendor approvals" (AVL) with key clients, developers, and government authorities across the GCC.
Key Responsibilities Specification & Consultant Engagement:- Leverage your existing relationships with leading MEP consultants, architects, and engineering firms across the GCC to introduce and promote our product line.
- Conduct presentations and product seminars to educate consultants on the commercial and technical advantages of our solutions.
- Successfully integrate our products into consultant master specifications and project-specific MEP design documents.
Vendor Listing & Client Approvals (AVL):- Target major government entities, utility providers, and mega-project developers.
- Navigate pre-qualification processes to ensure [Your Company Name] is added to and maintained on Approved Vendor Lists (AVL).
- Compile, submit, and track comprehensive pre-qualification documents and compliance statements.
Business Development & Market Strategy:- Track major construction, retrofit, and district cooling projects in the GCC from concept to execution.
- Create "pull demand" by ensuring specified products translate into actual orders through coordination with direct sales teams and local partners.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory standards (e.g., Estidama, SASO, LEED).
- Industry Knowledge: Strong general knowledge of the commercial HVAC-R industry, applied systems, and MEP project workflows. While an intermediate technical understanding of relevant products is completely acceptable, deep market knowledge and the ability to drive specifications are paramount.
Qualification & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a technical field is beneficial, but a general bachelor’s degree (UG) is completely acceptable provided the candidate possesses the required market experience and network.
