The IT Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end management, maintenance, and reliability of the company’s IT infrastructure across both the corporate office and operational plant site in Dubai.

 

This role requires a hands-on IT professional who can independently manage all IT operations, including networking, systems administration, CCTV and access control systems, connectivity between sites, cloud email administration, user support, and vendor coordination.

The position operates with minimal supervision and requires a strong execution-driven mindset, ensuring stable IT operations and rapid issue resolution. Success in this role will be measured by system uptime, infrastructure stability, and operational efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure across office and plant locations.
  • Administer and support servers, firewalls, switches, routers, Wi-Fi networks, and endpoint systems.
  • Ensure high availability, system performance, and infrastructure security.
  • Manage backup systems, disaster recovery procedures, and data protection mechanisms.
  • Configure and maintain LAN, WAN, and site-to-site connectivity between office and plant operations.
  • Manage network monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Work with internet service providers (ISPs) and telecom vendors to maintain reliable connectivity.
  • Implement, manage, and maintain CCTV surveillance systems and access control infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot camera systems, network video recorders (NVRs), and access systems.
  • Ensure security infrastructure supports operational safety and monitoring requirements.
  • Manage and administer cloud-based email systems (Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace).
  • Handle user account management, permissions, security policies, and mailbox administration.
  • Provide technical support for users across office and plant environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues efficiently.
  • Maintain IT equipment including computers, printers, mobile devices, and operational technology systems.
  • Coordinate with IT vendors, contractors, and service providers for maintenance and upgrades.
  • Manage hardware procurement, service contracts, and IT-related purchasing.
  • Oversee installation and implementation of IT systems and infrastructure projects.
  • Act as the internal IT counterpart for ERP implementation projects (e.g., SAP).
  • Coordinate with external ERP implementation partners and consultants.
  • Provide infrastructure and technical support for business applications.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Minimum 5–8 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and system administration.
  • Strong experience managing networks, servers, firewalls, and enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience in CCTV systems, access control solutions, and security infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud email platforms (Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace).
  • Experience working with ISPs, telecom providers, and IT vendors.
  • Experience in manufacturing, plant operations, or industrial environments is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to SAP or ERP environments is a plus but not mandatory.


Skills

  • Expertise in network architecture and design, ensuring robust and scalable infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing technologies, enabling effective migration and management of services.
  • Proficiency in cybersecurity practices, safeguarding systems against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, optimizing resource utilization and enhancing system performance.
  • Project management skills, capable of leading complex IT projects from conception to execution.
  • Effective communication abilities, facilitating collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical thinking, enabling data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
