Role Overview Our Client in the UAE is seeking a practical and technically strong MEP Engineer to support the development of a new industrial facility.
This role suits a mid-junior level engineer with solid UAE project experience , strong knowledge of local authority requirements, and the ability to coordinate MEP works from design through execution under the supervision of a Project Manager.
This is initially a project-based role with potential conversion to full-time based on performance and project needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Technical Coordination Support and coordinate MEP design development aligned with project requirements.
Review and coordinate MEP drawings with architectural, structural, and interior design layouts.
Cross-check designs against UAE authority requirements including Civil Defense, DEWA/ADDC and municipalities.
Ensure design intent is correctly translated into IFC drawings and shop drawings.
Authority Approvals & Compliance Assist with authority submissions, clarifications and approvals for MEP scope.
Ensure full compliance with UAE codes, regulations and industry best practices.
Procurement & Technical Evaluation Prepare RFQs for MEP systems and subcontractors.
Review technical proposals, drawings, and material submittals.
Support evaluation and selection of vendors and specialist subcontractors.
Site Supervision & Execution Monitor and supervise MEP installation works on site.
Coordinate between consultants, contractors, subcontractors and client teams.
Identify potential clashes, risks, or delays and resolve proactively.
Ensure works follow approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Project Coordination & Expediting Expedite MEP activities to prevent project bottlenecks.
Track progress and escalate issues to the Project Manager.
Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical inputs.
Support testing, commissioning and project handover activities.
Salary Range: AED 6,000 – 7,000 per month Final offer will depend on experience, technical capability and interview performance.
Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
3–5 years of UAE experience in building or industrial projects.
Experience working in client-driven project environments.
Exposure to industrial facilities, warehouses, or complex buildings preferred.
Technical Skills Strong understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, electrical).
Ability to review and coordinate technical drawings and documents.
Knowledge of UAE authority approval processes.
Experience handling RFQs, technical evaluations and subcontractor coordination.
Personal Attributes Hands-on and proactive mindset.
Strong coordination and communication skills.
Organized and detail-oriented.
Able to take ownership and drive tasks to completion.
