Primary Teacher (UK Qualified)

Job Purpose
To deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the National Curriculum for England, ensuring all pupils make strong academic and personal progress. The post holder will create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that reflects the ethos of a British international school while respecting Moroccan culture and context.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including EAL students. Use formative and summative assessment to monitor progress and inform planning. Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and presentation. Provide a stimulating classroom environment that promotes independence and creativity. Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing are prioritised at all times.
Assessment & Progress
Track pupil attainment and progress using school assessment systems. Provide accurate feedback to pupils and parents through reports and meetings. Identify pupils needing additional support and implement appropriate interventions. Contribute to moderation and standardisation processes.
Curriculum & School Development
Contribute to curriculum planning and development within the phase/year group. Participate in school improvement initiatives. Support enrichment activities, trips, and extracurricular programmes. Promote cross-curricular learning and global citizenship.
Pastoral Care & Safeguarding
Act as a class tutor, supporting pupils’ social and emotional development. Foster a positive classroom climate based on respect and inclusion. Follow safeguarding policies and report concerns promptly. Build strong relationships with parents and the wider community.
Professional Responsibilities
Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice. Uphold the school’s values and professional standards. Contribute to school events and community initiatives
Essential Qualifications & Experience
UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Degree in Education or relevant subject Experience teaching in a UK primary setting Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for England Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
Desirable
Experience in international schools Knowledge of EAL strategies Experience teaching diverse, multicultural classes Understanding of British inspection frameworks (Ofsted, BSO)
