Senior Planning and Control Engineer

Overview:

A Senior Planning and Control Engineer is responsible for creating, monitoring, and managing project schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

- Project Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, baselines, and execution plans.

- Progress Monitoring: Track project progress against the schedule, perform variance analysis, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.

- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and opportunities, perform schedule risk analysis, and develop mitigation strategies.

- Resource Allocation: Align resources with project schedules and maintain integrated resource planning systems.

- Cost Control: Assist with cost control activities, identify cost trends, and support the processing of contractor claims and change orders.

- Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and clients to resolve issues, provide updates, and ensure alignment on project goals.

- Reporting: Create and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reports, including graphs and critical path analyses.

- Contractor Management: Review and validate contractor planning packages, monitor performance, and ensure contractual compliance.

Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling in the construction industry; experience in high-rise buildings is essential.

- Certified Engineer (Unlimited Floors)

- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of project management software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.

- Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively present information and collaborate with diverse teams.

- Leadership: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Other Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, detail-oriented and proactive approach.
