  • Operations Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Staff Management: Supervise, train, mentor, and schedule warehouse associates.
  • Inventory Control: Perform inventory counts, reconcile records, and manage storage layouts.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce company policies and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Monitor KPIs, analyze, and improve warehouse procedures to reduce costs and increase productivity.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory role within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and computer literacy (e.g., Excel).
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve operational issues and handle unexpected changes.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for coordinating with other departments.
  • Certifications: Often requires forklift operation certification and, sometimes, hazardous materials handling knowledge.
