Job Title: Art Teacher - [IELTS Score 6.5 Arab National /western national /native speakers only]

Summary

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Art Teacher for a well-established private school group in the UAE is hiring an experienced Art Teacher.This role is ideal for an experienced educator with a strong background in visual arts and a commitment to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression in students. The Art Teacher will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and engaging art curriculum that aligns with international standards, promoting cultural awareness and innovation through diverse artistic mediums. The successful candidate will inspire students across various age groups, support their personal and academic growth, and contribute to a vibrant school community. This position is open exclusively to Arab National, Western National, or Native English speakers who have achieved an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher, reflecting strong language proficiency essential for effective instruction and communication in an international academic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver age-appropriate, curriculum-aligned art lessons that incorporate drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and mixed media techniques.
  • Foster a creative, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages experimentation, self-expression, and artistic risk-taking.
  • Assess student progress through regular critiques, portfolios, and formative/summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art across interdisciplinary projects and school-wide events such as exhibitions, cultural festivals, and performances.
  • Maintain up-to-date art supplies, equipment, and classroom resources, ensuring safety and organization in studio spaces.
  • Engage with parents and guardians through progress reports, parent-teacher meetings, and art showcase events.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, curriculum reviews, and school improvement initiatives.
  • Promote cultural diversity and global awareness through the study of international art movements and artists.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a closely related field; Master’s degree is highly advantageous.
  • Minimum of 4–5 years of teaching experience in art education, preferably in an international or bilingual school setting.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing engaging, standards-based art curricula.
  • Strong proficiency in a wide range of artistic mediums and techniques, including traditional and digital tools.
  • Valid teaching certification or license recognized by UAE education authorities.
  • IELTS score of 6.5 or higher (or equivalent English language proficiency) required for Arab National, Western National, and Native English speakers.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural team and adapt to diverse learning needs.
  • Familiarity with international curricula such as IB, Cambridge, or National Curriculum for England is highly desirable.
