Job Purpose
•    To direct the restructure process for all Retail- SME and Mortgage Loans – delinquent or current (Conventional + Islamic)
•    Work closely with Legal department, Law firms, Credit Policy, CCRD Business and MIT to resolve queries raised by Mortgage customers.
•    To include all retail exposure of the customer when dealing with such requests.
•    Provide feedback for the improvement of lending controls and credit guidelines.
•    To review the delinquent book post restructure with an attempt to recover the balances and imbibe the learning for future requests for restructuring.



Key Result Areas
•    Offer a proactive approach to the portfolio by reaching out to high ‘risk customers’ including customers that are current.
•    Ability to offer a customized offering that best fits the requirement of the bank with the situation of the customer.
•    Organize the department, allocate units / borrowers to Account Officers and assign responsibility for effective remedial management to minimize credit loss,
•    Manage delinquency and losses within agreed budgets by developing strategies and systems to make most effective use of available resources.
•    Minimize the risk charge (provisions) from the Mortgage book.
•    Ensure that the delegated authorities, Credit Policy and the bank’s other procedures including turnaround time parameters are strictly adhered to by the Accounts officers in the department for effective management of the portfolio.
•    Provide ongoing coaching, guidance and arranging suitable training courses for Account Officers as well as the Recovery Officers within the units to enhance their work out skills for achieving objectives. 
•    To maximize the recovery and collection efforts of both units and to develop a profile of high-risk borrowers and feedback of the same to Business / WRM stakeholders.
•    Ensure that the team get a satisfactory rating in any audit which is conducted by – ARCG or by the Internal Control team.
•    Ensure that the expenses of the team are within the budget specified.
•    Report on delinquency trends and movements in the marketplace.
•    Manage Bank’s relationship with various third-party service providers as needed including offshore vendors.
•    Manage communication and motivation of staff. Provide relevant information to staff regarding events etc. so that they can understand their contribution to the success of the Bank.



Knowledge, Skills and Experience
•    Experience of about 7 to 10 years in the Recovery / Credit / Marketing Department in a reputed bank.
•    Sound understating of the Mortgage product and market.
•    Computer literate.
•    Excellent work out skills.
