Technical Marketing Communications Specialist (Telecommunications / Bahasa Indonesia & English)

We are a specialist provider of telecommunications and advanced RF equipment supplied to customers in Indonesia. Our products are technically sophisticated, mission-critical, and operate in sensitive, high-stakes environments. Our team is based in Jakarta with a small office in the UAE (Ajman), serving clients throughout Indonesia.
Role Overview
We are looking for a versatile, capable and self-motivated individual to be the operational backbone of our small Dubai office. This is a broad, hands-on role combining marketing communications, sales support and day-to-day office management. You will be the key link between our Dubai-based engineering and sales team and our Indonesian government and law enforcement clients, so native Bahasa Indonesia is essential. This role suits someone who thrives in a small business environment, is comfortable switching between creative, commercial and administrative tasks, and takes genuine pride in keeping things running smoothly.
Marketing Communications
- Design and produce product brochures, datasheets, presentations and company profiles in both Bahasa Indonesia and English using Canva and other design tools
- Localise and adapt all marketing materials to ensure they are culturally appropriate for Indonesian audiences
- Maintain and update marketing materials as products and services evolve
- Support the team with event materials and other ad hoc communications needs
Sales Support
- Serve as the primary Bahasa Indonesia-speaking point of contact for Indonesian clients and prospects
- Manage client communications, follow-ups and correspondence in both Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Prepare quotes, proposals and sales documentation in coordination with the engineering and sales team
- Track and manage the sales pipeline, maintaining organised records of leads, opportunities and client interactions
- Support the team in preparing for client meetings, presentations and tender submissions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Indonesian government and institutional clients
Office Management
- Manage the day-to-day running of a small office
- Manage procurement and coordinate with vendors and service providers
- Assist with basic finance administration including expense tracking and invoice coordination
Qualifications
- Native Bahasa Indonesia speaker — this is essential, as all customer-facing content targets Indonesian audiences
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in a marketing communications, content creation, or creative role
- Experience producing content for technical, B2B, or engineering-led products is a strong advantage
- A strong portfolio demonstrating brochure, presentation, and video work is essential
- Must be already based in the UAE
Technical Skills
- Expert-level Canva and PowerPoint skills — able to produce polished, professional outputs independently
- Strong eye for layout, typography, and visual storytelling
- Ability to quickly absorb and accurately represent complex technical information
- Familiarity with telecommunications, RF, or defence/security products is a plus
Communication & Personal Skills
- Native Bahasa Indonesia — able to write fluently and professionally for senior government and institutional audiences
- Advanced English, spoken and written — internal team communication and source materials are in English
- Intellectually curious — comfortable engaging with engineers and asking the right questions to get the content right
- Self-directed and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Discreet and professional — our products and clients operate in sensitive environments
Location & Package This role is based in the UAE. Candidates must hold or be eligible for UAE residency.
Skills
Native Indonesian speaker
Marketing communications experience
Basic bookkeeping or finance administration experience (invoicing, expense tracking, petty cash)
Experience coordinating across remote or multi-location teams,
Prior experience in a similarly broad, multi-function role within a small or startup business
