Overview of the role
A trusted advisor to senior line management, shaping and delivering people strategies that drive robust business growth. Reinforcing a culture of performance, meritocracy, and diversity while ensuring full compliance with HR policy and UAE labor law across the employee lifecycle.
What you will do
Develop and deliver the HR strategy and annual HR plan with business leaders, driving continuous improvement across all HR activities.
Lead onboarding, succession planning, retention, L&D, and performance management—including improvement plans and promotion governance.
Partner with Group Training to deliver annual training plans, people reviews, and ensure identified successors for key roles.
Oversee employee relations, coaching line managers on engagement (Al‑Futtaim Way), policy adherence, risk mitigation, and disciplinary procedures.
Serve as a coach and change agent to senior leaders; drive engagement action plans; oversee incentives and manpower budgets.
Optimise workforce structures, support reorganisations, track productivity, and ensure localisation/Emiratisation targets are met.
Manage manpower planning, employee cost reporting, and the HR budget, while standardising monthly metrics (performance vs budget, overtime, incentives, casual labour).
Strengthen governance, internal controls, SOP compliance; ensure adherence to HR policies, laws, and uphold Emirati‑only position mandates.
Skills
Required skills to be successful
• Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or Business Management; CIPD is desirable
• Minimum 5 years as an HR Generalist with prior HRBP experience; automotive sector background is preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of UAE labor law, policy compliance, and commitment to Emiratisation/localisation objectives
• Strong analytical capability and financial modeling skills to interpret and act on monthly HR metrics and budgets
