Job Purpose
To support the delivery of high‑quality, safe, and effective clinical and personal care within a busy outpatient clinic environment. The Assistant Nurse plays a key role in supporting physicians and nursing teams, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and continuity of care at our Dubai Festival City Clinic.
Role Overview
This is a clinic‑based Assistant Nurse role supporting physicians and nursing staff in the delivery of outpatient care at our Barsha Heights Clinic.
The role is well suited to an Assistant Nurse with hands‑on clinical experience who is comfortable working in a fast‑paced outpatient setting, supporting patient assessments, procedures, and day‑to‑day clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support qualified nurses and physicians in the delivery of high‑quality patient care
Observe, measure, and record patient vital signs, reporting abnormalities to the medical team
Deliver patient‑centered care, ensuring consent, dignity, privacy, and safety at all times
Assist in the management of patients with chronic conditions including respiratory, cardiac, and diabetic conditions
Provide assistance during clinical procedures and examinations as directed
Document patient care activities accurately in medical and nursing records
Maintain continuity of care by communicating patient needs, actions taken, and observations to the clinical team
Respond appropriately to emergency situations and escalate to the medical team in line with training and scope of practice
Attend mandatory training including annual resuscitation and emergency response updates
Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families
Support infection control policies and safeguarding procedures in line with local regulations and Al‑Futtaim Health guidelines
Additional Responsibilities
Support the safe operation and basic maintenance of clinical equipment
Assist with stock control and management of nursing supplies
Participate in ongoing professional development and mandatory training activities
Maintain professional standards and contribute to a positive team environment
Skills
Candidate Profile
DHA‑licensed or DHA‑eligible Assistant Nurse (mandatory)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within an accredited healthcare facility
Strong clinical support skills within an outpatient or clinic environment
Competent in assisting physicians and supporting nursing procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patient‑focused, caring, and professional in approach
Team‑oriented, reliable, and able to work in a fast‑paced setting
Fluency in English is essential; Arabic language skills are an advantage
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing
Valid DHA License or Eligibility as an Assistant Nurse (mandatory)
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (mandatory)
Strong computer literacy skills
Experience or training in areas such as:
Patient assessment and monitoring of vital signs
ECG assistance
Wound care and dressings
Infection control procedures
Venipuncture and blood sampling
IV cannulation
Blood sugar monitoring and POCT
Clinical documentation
