Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Patrolling and Observation: Conducting regular, proactive walkthroughs (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety hazards, unlocked doors, or security breaches.
  • Monitoring Systems: Operating CCTV cameras, security alarms, and fire systems, often from a dedicated control room.
  • Access Control: Managing entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor badges, and screening personnel to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Emergency Response: Acting as first responders to emergencies (fire, medical, security threats) and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services.
  • Incident Reporting: Writing detailed and accurate reports on daily activities, irregularities, maintenance needs, and security incidents.
  • Loss Prevention: Preventing theft, vandalism, and property damage in retail or commercial environments.
  • Conflict Management: Handling difficult situations, enforcing company policies, and de-escalating conflicts to maintain order.
