We’re hiring a Senior Accountant to own the accuracy and integrity of our financials. You’ll own the accuracy and integrity of our financials — closing the books each month with precision, maintaining a clean ledger, and ensuring inventory, COGS, and payables reflect operational reality.

This is a critical role for someone who takes pride in getting the numbers right, closing loops fully, and building a strong foundation of financial discipline as the business scales.

Accountabilities, Goals, and Outcomes
1. Month-End Close & Reconciliation Discipline: Deliver a timely, complete, and accurate month-end close by ensuring all balances are reconciled, discrepancies are identified early, and financials are finalised without surprises.

2. Ledger Integrity & Financial Hygiene: Maintain a clean, accurate, and audit-ready general ledger by ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded, classified, and supported, with no buildup of unresolved balances.

3. Inventory, COGS & Payables Accuracy: Ensure inventory, COGS, and payables in the financials accurately reflect operational reality by maintaining alignment between systems, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring all balances are reliable and complete.

Competencies

1. Accounting Accuracy & Financial Control: Maintains precise, reliable financial records and ensures transactions, accruals, and reconciliations are correct and fully supported.

2. Reconciliation Discipline & Closure: Systematically reconciles all key accounts and fully resolves discrepancies; no buildup of unresolved balances or “carried forward” issues.

3. Inventory & COGS Flow Understanding: Understands how purchasing, stock movements, and adjustments flow through the accounts; identifies and resolves mismatches between systems and financials.

4. ERP & Data Integrity: Uses ERP (e.g. Business Central) and supporting systems confidently to maintain clean ledgers, validate data, and ensure alignment across systems.

5. Ownership & Reliability: Takes full responsibility for the quality and timeliness of outputs; delivers consistently, flags issues early, and closes loops without supervision.

Preferred Experience
1. 4–6 years of accounting experience in structured environments (F&B, e-commerce, FMCG, or manufacturing with inventory complexity).

2. Strong ownership of month-end close, reconciliations, and maintaining clean, audit-ready financial records.

3. Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Business Central, SAP, Oracle) and inventory-linked accounting.

4. A degree or professional qualification in Accounting or Finance (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CA) is required.
