Job Purpose
Supervises Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) related equipment selection & lifecycle, maintenance and pull/run operations; which includes performance analysis, backup inventory and troubleshooting with required operations site support.
Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)
• Carries out regular ESP related performance surveys, updates model and submits to Senior Support Engineer (ESP).
• Develops ESP simulation and equipment size/ selection before installation.
• Attends and provides technical support for troubleshooting/failure analysis on ESP related subsurface & surface equipment.
• Supervises and directs the execution of planned and breakdown work-over for ESP related water supply/ Oil artificial lift wells, repairs for all ESP strings, relevant surface and subsurface equipment in assigned fields.
• Prepares pulling hoists movement plans, retrieve Drilling Workover Schedule for artificial lift work-over activities and required equipment/parts.
• Sets priorities and endorses Hot and/or Cold work permit in conjunction with operations.
• Ensures availability of adequate manpower, materials, spares, tools and test equipment guided by standard procedures.
• Provides technical direction to subordinates on fault finding diagnoses and repairs.
• Inspects work progress/completed work through site visits and/or review of work records to ensure proper and timely execution.
• Adjusts work schedules to accommodate urgently required work and follows up receipt of work orders upon completion of repairs procedures.
• Supervises the operation of pulling hoists (mobile rig) and associated machinery and equipment
• Orders spares and materials as necessary and control the inventory of consumable, tools test equipment and lifting tackle.
• Schedules and supervises day-to-day workshop activities to ensure the proper utilization of manpower and equipment. Assesses priorities and provides instructions for any special procedures, standards and materials required.
• Monitors and follows up to ensure all work is carried out to high technical and safety standards in all workshop disciplines.
• Issues hot and cold work permits and applies for excavation permits as required; this includes initiating or compiling, approving and passing to operations for countersigning; signs off jointly with operations upon job completion.
• Updates equipment and ESP strings records by inputting activities in the Maintenance Management system.

• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices
Reports
• Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Petroleum Engineering
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
6 years of experience in related discipline at an oil/ gas producing Company.
