Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of the Project Management Office (PMO), the Global Director - Project Management (CL/FM/MA/PSEZ) will play a crucial role in leading and driving international and complex projects for the logistics division. This role will be accountable for translating approved strategy into executable, value-generating global transformation programs. The primary focus will be on owning the global CL/FM/MA/PSEZ portfolio end-to-end.
Th PMO (CL/FM/MA/PSEZ) will lead the project management for the global portfolio of (CL/FM/MA/PSEZ) product and technology initiatives leading a key development across (CL/FM/MA/PSEZ) within TiAB and other Persona’s (Digital, GTM, Booking.com, etc.) from strategy through adoption, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery and measurable business outcomes related to overall project management. The role aligns Global, Regional and Group Technology teams across ocean FCL/LCL, air, and VAS to standardize ways of working, harden master data/governance, and scale capabilities globally.
Key accountabilities:
Project Management:
Roadmap Strategy & Communities of Practice:
Establish and run the (CL/FM/MA/PSEZ) Communities roadmap council (Ocean FCL/LCL, Air, VAS, Events & Milestones, Consolidation flows). Translate business strategy into an integrated quarterly roadmap; set Gate 0–2 acceptance criteria, BRD quality standards, dependency plans, and release calendars.
Strategic Alignment:
Collaborate with the SVP PMO and other key stakeholders to align project work with corporate strategy and objectives. Assist in prioritizing projects in line with strategic goals. Accountable for translating approved strategy into an integrated global roadmap and funded portfolio. Owns prioritisation decisions based on commercial impact, ROI and strategic value. Ensures quarterly value realisation reporting against agreed KPIs.
JIRA Governance & Portfolio Hygiene:
Owns global (CL/FM/MA/PSEZ) portfolio governance including value-based prioritisation, release sequencing and scope control. Accountable for measurable outcomes covering revenue enablement, cost reduction (COS), productivity gains and data quality improvement across NPM and the multiple persona’s. Own JIRA/Confluence standards for the (CL/FM/MA/PSEZ) portfolio (workflows, statuses, labels, DOR/DOD, dashboards). Drive backlog hygiene, sequencing and scope control; publish release notes and change impacts; operate with data-driven metrics (throughput, cycle time, burn-up, defect escape rate).
Stakeholder Communication:
Facilitate communication between the SVP PMO and project teams. Assist in disseminating project updates and key information to stakeholders. Lead strong collaboration across the communities, global business, technology, etc. Orchestrate operating rhythms with Regions, Product/Engineering, Procurement/Pricing, Finance, Legal/Compliance, and Ops Excellence to ensure decisions are timely, documented, and executed.
Project Oversight:
Lead global projects, provide strong governance and structure.
Support the SVP PMO in overseeing the execution of international projects.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
Reporting and Analysis:
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Leads senior program managers and regional PMO leads.
Provides sustained leadership across a global matrix organisation.
Chairs the (CL/FM/MA/PSEZ) Roadmap Council with authority to align Regions and Technology to a single global backlog. Facilitate coordination and communication across departments and regions.
Participate on the development of career path and training for the PMO community
Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Integration:
Support the successful integration of M&A activities into the company's operations.
Serve as a key liaison between various stakeholders to ensure seamless transition and alignment with organizational goals. This pertains as well specifically to also further enhancement of the NPM/QT tool
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the integration process and mitigate potential risks.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement within the PMO and across project teams.
Assist in implementing initiatives to enhance project management efficiency and effectiveness.
Enhance the PMO playbook and application of this globally.
Training and Development:
Drive initiatives to further enhance the L&D for PM, Support the SVP PMO in training and developing project management capabilities across the organization.
Assist in conducting training sessions and workshops for project managers and stakeholders.
Delivery & Risk Management:
Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project-related risks. Run plan-of-record, critical path, and Plan A/Plan B scenarios for major drops (e.g., CRv3.1/3.2). Proactively manage risks, issues, and cross-team dependencies; trigger timely mitigations and escalations. Work with project teams to develop risk mitigation plans and strategies. Drive enterprise risk management across cross-pillar transformation including compliance, cybersecurity and M&A integration. Owns mitigation strategy and contingency planning for major global releases.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree or Project Management certification (PMP) preferred.
10–12+ years delivering large, multi-region product/technology programs with proven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering international and complex projects.
Proven experience (5 years) in (CL/FM/MA/PSEZ).
Comfortable working in fast paced environment
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and best practices.
Hands-on expertise with JIRA or similar tools (incl. Advanced Roadmaps/Portfolio) and data-driven portfolio management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify problems, analyse data, and develop solutions.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in the logistics or transportation industry is desirable but not essential.
