About the Role Sunreef Yachts is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Composite Engineer to join its engineering team at the Ras Al Khaimah facility.
This role focuses on the design, development, and production support of composite structures for luxury yachts.
You will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure structural integrity, manufacturability, and high-quality execution of composite components.
This position is suited for candidates with strong hands-on experience in composite design and manufacturing , ideally within the marine industry or similarly demanding sectors .
Key Responsibilities Develop detailed 3D models of composite structures and components Design plugs, molds, and tooling systems for production Prepare accurate 2D workshop drawings and technical documentation Define and optimize lamination schedules for composite parts Support production teams with technical guidance during manufacturing and assembly Review and validate structural integrity and manufacturability of composite designs Propose and implement optimized construction and structural solutions Coordinate with engineering, production, and planning teams to ensure workflow efficiency Participate in problem-solving and troubleshooting during production phases Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Minimum 3 years of experience in composite design, analysis, or manufacturing Strong understanding of composite materials and structural behavior Proficiency in CAD software, including: SolidWorks (advanced surfacing required) Rhinoceros (Rhino 3D) Ability to read and produce technical drawings and lamination documentation Good command of English (written and spoken) Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills Preferred Skills Experience with composite manufacturing processes (hand layup, vacuum infusion) Knowledge of materials such as E-glass, carbon fiber, and core materials Experience in composite tooling design (plugs, molds, tooling systems) Background in marine, aerospace, or automotive industries Familiarity with lamination drawings and schedules Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams Benefits Work on high-end luxury yacht projects with complex composite structures Be part of a fast-growing shipyard with strong technical ambition Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and production teams Gain exposure to full project lifecycle from design to production Opportunity to grow within a premium and international engineering environment Paid Annual Lave + Sick leave Residence Visa
