Job Summary:

We are looking for a Manicurist and Pedicurist (Nail Technician) who will provide nail care treatments to our customers based on their needs and preferences.

Nail Technician responsibilities include polishing fingernails and toenails, and applying gel and acrylic nails. Ultimately, you will help us boost our reputation by offering personalised services to our clients at Synergy Healing Centre.

Responsibilities:

• Treatment of nails by shaping, decorating, or augmenting
• Shape and smooth the ends of nails, using scissors, files, or emery boards
• Prepare nail cuticles with water and oil, using cuticle knives to push back cuticles and scissors or nippers to trim cuticles
• Remove previously applied polish, using liquid remover and swabs
• Prepare and clean the beauty station in-between appointments
• Prepare customers’ nails in soapy water, using swabs, files, and orange sticks.
• Assess the condition of clients’ hands, remove dead skin, and massage their hands
• Administer therapeutic messages
• Extend nails using powder, solvent, and paper forms attached to the tips of customers’ fingers to support and shape artificial nails.
• Polish nails, using powdered polish and a buffer
• Whiten the underside of the nail with white paste or pencils’
• Inform clients about additional services and offers
• Give hand and foot massages
• Offer nail care treatment tips (e.g. how to strengthen nails and how to make manicures last longer)
• Up-sell treatments and beauty products, when appropriate
• Take an interest in customers (e.g. chatting with them during appointments and remembering their preferences)
